Located diagonally across from the Keyes Art Mile’s Circa and Everard Read galleries in Rosebank, Johannesburg, Thirty Keyes is a prestigious StudioMAS-designed residential development that offers the best of art district living. Asked to create a comprehensive brand strategy and identity programme for the project, we assisted with naming the building, including its various apartment types, developing a visual language and brand narrative, and designing and copywriting print and digital material for marketing and sales activities.

Working closely with the commissioning developer, as well as the architectural, interior design and sales teams, we created an insight-driven customer profile and communication framework underpinned by a single-minded positioning statement: “the address the Art Mile calls home”, which would inform the design and copywriting of all related sales assets and public relations efforts.

Thirty Keyes’ brand identity was intimately informed by the interior and architectural programme, in particular the landscaping concept, which sought to incorporate indigenous Witwatersrand vegetation into the building’s signature central courtyard. Accordingly, the logo adopts an open linear language, paired with a verdant colour palette and traditional botanical illustration style.
